Is the fee the same if only one person comes to counseling?
Yes, the fee is the same regardless of how many people are in session.
Can I speak with the counselor alone before a session?
Generally, we prefer to speak with the couple as a group first. However, we can accommodate a phone call or an email with extra information if you would like. Please let your counselor know if you would like to talk individually. During the first session, we can also discuss having an individual session with each person if necessary and appropriate.
What is your approach to marriage and couples counseling?
We use practical, evidence-based methods that focus on improving communication, resolving conflict, and rebuilding emotional closeness. Sessions are structured, goal-oriented, and designed to provide tools you can use outside of therapy.
Will you take sides?
No. Our role is to remain neutral and support the relationship as a whole. We work to ensure both partners feel heard, understood, and respected.
How long does marriage counseling take?
The length of counseling varies depending on your goals and the challenges you’re facing. Some couples experience meaningful progress in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support.
What if my spouse isn’t fully committed?
It’s common for partners to begin counseling at different levels of readiness. We help create a safe space where both individuals can explore concerns and move toward greater clarity and commitment.
Can our marriage really be saved?
Many marriages can be strengthened and restored with the right tools, guidance, and willingness to grow. While every situation is unique, we believe positive change is possible.
What if we decide to separate?
If separation becomes part of the conversation, we help couples navigate that process with respect, clarity, and healthy communication—especially when children are involved.
Do you provide practical tools and homework?
Yes. We believe lasting change happens between sessions, so we provide practical exercises and communication tools to help you apply what you learn in real life.
